I SAW THESE HOOKS THAT WERE SIMILAR IN STYLE TO THOES BEING TESTED A WHILE BACK ON THE B.F.T. SITE .
THESE LOOKED LIKE SOMETHING I SHOULD DEFINITLY TRY OUT .STYLE IS A MUTU LIGHT CIRCLE , THE SIZE IS #6 , PERFECT FOR STEELHEAD FISHING , CATCH AND RELEASE . ALTHOUGH ON THE EXPENCIVE SIDE , $5.00 FOR 10 HOOKS , I KNEW I HAD TO GIVE THEM A GO . I'LL REPORT MY FINDING AFTER A GOOD WORKOUT ON THE AU SABLE RIVER ON MCHIGAN'S EAST SIDE .

Hi there lonehunter,
I'm the guy trying to spread the gospel on the circle hooks! ha ha ha I favor Owner hooks and the light wire. I used to fish wide gapped J-hooks but now fish with nothing but circles.
I use circles for all my saltwater and freshwater fishing. If you can't find really small, hooks you can subsitute Owner mosquito hooks or the Lazer series by eagleclaw. If you saltwater fish and find Owner 6/0 light/medium wire circle hooks, grab 'em!
I don't use the ringed circles because most of them are on heavier wire!
Using a circle, be patient and just tighten the line and reel! Hooked FOREEEEEEEEEEEEVER and the fish is usually stuck in the corner of the mouth! (that kinda depends on species though)

You guys are right. I have changed over to almost all circle hooks.
I haven't found any circle hooks yet that you can tie up into any fly patterns. That only leaves me the choice of filing the barbs off and useing them that way.
let me know on those new ones that you got there Al. I'm always into trying something new so that I can recommend them to others from experience and not just heresay.
have a good one guys and Happy Hollidays.
