just returned from a weekend adventure up at the Gorge. we devoted all of our time to the big lakers. the fish are stacked on the humps and it seems still in the staging processes of the spawn. fishing was spotty. catch three or four one hour and catch nothing the rest of the day. however best action was right at 7 am when the lake opens and right at 6 pm when the lake closes. we caught in total 10 3-5 pound babies one 10 pounder and right before 6 pm on monday night i hooked and landed a 38 inch 25-30 pounder. contrary to the report on doug miller we caught very few with a slow action. best success was rapid jigging with crippled herrings, buzz bombs and some on tubes all right near the bottom. good luck to all those going out the next few weeks and hope this info helps snag a few big ones. dress and take all your worm clothes. we had a blast jrs4x4

Thanks, jrs4x4, for the great report. Man, a 25-30 lb laker. NICE!! That fish made the trip worthwhile! You got any pics to post?

If you are a member of Sams club or Costco, and can get to one easily they do a great job for a great price. I think I paid 4.50 for a 24 exp roll with the pictures posted online for me to download. Although I had to wait a couple days. But it beats the heck out of paying 17+ per roll to get them in an hour and on CD.

Hey OEJ , I go to Sams Club and get 24 roll of 35 mm film done in one hour with double prints and a CD for only around $10.00 to $12.00 . Not bad for one hour photo . Only problem is they can be busy on weekends and it could take longer sometimes .
