Sally Brooms from Searchlight Boat and RV Storage stated that due to the weather, fishing pressure continued to be low. One angler that fished landed catfish that weighed in at 3 ˝, 4 ˝ and 6 ˝ pounds. Anchovies were catching the fish.
Cottonwood Cove anglers reported good success for striped bass. Numerous stripers that ranged from 11 – 29 pounds were taken in the vicinity of mile marker 52.
The fish were taken with anchovies, generic trout lures, and O’Henry lures. A spear fisherman landed stripers that weighed in at 20, 25, and 28 ˝ pounds.
NDOW is scheduled to stock Placer Cove, Willow Beach, Power Line Cove, and Cottonwood Cove on Saturday (11/29/03).
